look everybody good morning class my name is Kayla and I teach 5th grade at the Amistad language school today we are going to talk about what the difference is between internet friends and real life face-to-face friends can you go online at home  how many of you chat with friends  family my friends  friends and family are far away is anybody here ever talk to strangers my students use the internet for different reasons I know they do things that are for school but they also look at videos they download music they chat online when you have a conversation on I'm with someone it's not very personal but it can feel very personal what are the differences between messaging a friend who comes with someone you don't know maybe maybe they have a picture but if that could that be there real picture or what are the signs that somebody can be posted that they might like ask you a lot of personal questions it's funny there's a store that's not right it does is it right with you some of the issues that come out of using the media and the digital world for our students first of all you can always control clear interfacing she's talking to somebody online cuz she doesn't know okay with somebody like to read it for us to say that we all know where we are seeing in life to visit a web what ways kids can post messages about school she really likes the kid who uses the screen Lee cleaning CJ cool 11 go ahead and Talk Amongst yourselves and answer why you think she gets a bad feeling when he asked her the name of her school maybe you should normally she told us in the person the school they might go and not look for  what was I'll make up an excuse and then just tell my mom or my dad to the same it's not me telling them you shouldn't do that it's me telling them here the choice is here you know this is this is what's going to help you and this is what's going to harm you and then you can choose your empowered to choose what do you think Pizza should say to CJ cool 11 I think that's a good have I think that's really good what accounts for personal information what kind yeah cassiani can you please add full name  phone number Maya mother's maiden name they can track you down through things that not really that, you might think they'll never find this and the find it what other reasons could there be for somebody wanting to get information out your money your money since I've been supposed to be curriculum I've noticed more of a mature attitude towards the internet they know that it's a tool and they know that it can be good and they know that it can turn bad if you don't use it the right way I'm going to give you a check and it's going to have Prince way the witch you should behave online Ashley what's on that list I will pick chat and messaging screen names that do not include private identity in San that's a big one guys sometimes when we're creating a name for ourselves online we want to be honest and we want to give our identity Maybe play create a name  like CJ cool 11 person is remaining Anonymous so should you this contract that I gave you you sure you read through it meet the whole thing check out all the boxes and sign and you can share that with your parents as well I have learned that if you feel uncomfortable talking to body on Sea on the computer then you shouldn't talk to them at all you should just block them if I was online and someone I don't know ask for my personal information what I is I would just go and tell adult I would leave it there straight on the computer so they can see as long as you stay safe you don't give any personal information to anybody out there I think you'll be okay okay games
